Server down, data safe
August 28, 2007 - Sacramento, CA - Due to a hard drive failure, California Backyard Pools and Spas encountered a catastrophic data loss. The workstation housing all financial data for the company had crashed. All customer balance and billing information was suddenly gone. Recreating that information from scratch would have been impossible.
California Backyard Pools and Spas faced many challenges on top of the data loss. Most notable was how to keep current operations running.
As it turned out, replacing the workstation was the most difficult, time-consuming and expensive part of the process. Just 3 months prior, the IT company working with California Backyard Pools and Spas implemented a new data backup and recovery system provided by FileSafe Backup.
Once the new workstation was installed, recovering the data took approximately 2 hours. California Backyard Pools and Spas was fully operational minutes after the data recovery was completed!
"We just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your service in restoring our systems. The thought of our data being permanently lost in a computer failure is, to say the least, disconcerting. We use this valuable data on a daily basis and its loss could devastate our business. We very much appreciated your prompt response in getting us up and running again!"
Thank you,
Sondra Hopkins

How much is your data worth?
Data loss happens all the time in businesses across the United States. Most of the time, these events do not end where the data was safe, secure and easy to reinstall.
Data backup is an essential business practice that is often overlooked because it is too expensive or inconvenient to implement.
FileSafe Backup changes that. Installation is easy - it takes just 5 minutes! And with prices starting at just $75 per month, the cost is a fraction of traditional alternatives.

Most Backup Solutions are a Risky, Double-Loss
Removable media often requires multiple tapes or disks requiring an employee to stand by while performing media changes and restores. While managing the data backup, the employee can't do anything to advance your business. This is a double-loss to your bottom line.
When managers realize this, they often skip backing up data in favor of more profitable objectives. After all, their performance is judged on increasing revenue, not spending it!
Enterprise-level companies require more sophisticated backup methods often storing their data on servers. This requires an administrator to manage the servers and verify the backups were completed without corruption.
No matter what method is used, many companies keep their backups at the same location as the computers they are protecting. This is not an effective solution in the case of a disaster that damages the building. Earthquakes, hurricanes, fires or floods are as likely to destroy the backup as they are the original.
To cover for this, some companies have employees bring copies of data home on tape or disk. This opens a security hole for the data. And it increases administration costs because a "chain of custody" is needed.
Add to this the hassle of recovery efforts. Tape drives are linear. They work like a music cassette, all one direction. Just like fast-forwarding to your favorite song takes ages, finding missing data on a tape drive can take hours. Add more time if your employee has to run home to grab the tapes. And the problems of tapes not being as reliable as we would like them to be.
FileSafe Backup: fast, safe, requires almost no effort!
FileSafe Backup takes just minutes to install. It can protect data from practically any system including Windows, Macintosh, Novell, Linux and Unix systems.
Once set up, FileSafe Backup works quietly in the background. Its automated system encrypts your data to make it secure. Then the encrypted data is sent to our secure servers away from your physical location. Once the data is encrypted and leaves your system it can only be unencrypted using your encryption key which allows our system to be HIPPA compliant.
A backup is only as useful as its associated restore strategy. With FileSafe Backup, you can do full or partial data recovery in just minutes with no searching for media.
You will always be notified via email if there are any changes to your your account status or backup jobs.
No Risk Trial Offer
You can try FileSafe Backup free of charge for 30 days. Each week of your trial you will get an email detailing the successful backups that occurred and showing you how much data is stored. At the end of your trial, a quote will be presented that meets your actual needs.
